Founded in 1862, Shanghai Xiangsheng Shipyard was once one of the birthplaces of China's modern industrial civilization. Recording most of the history of China's shipbuilding industry, it has been reborn under the transformation of the famous architect Kengo Kuma, and has become an immersive commercial art space along the Lujiazui Riverside.

Details such as air-conditioning ducts remodeled from old ventilation pipes, signposts made of discarded steel plates, and simple barriers to the space by concrete pillars reveal the interweaving of modern art and industrial style, making people feel both nostalgic and new.
